The Mousery

Mousery Narbo-Huan started in 2005 with 4 female pet mice. My sister in law had been keeping two mice as pets for a longer period of time and I got interested in them, too. In 2006 I bred a single female to a male (Triplex x Vin Diesel). I got a large variety of colors from that litter, and I kept all 9 females. One of those females was bred again later.

From that point on I called myself "Mousery" and although I had some breedings I did not have male mice myself, but rather borrowed them from another breeder (Mousery Kennedy, which quit in 2008). In 2009 I quit keeping mice alltogether because of my study and an internship in a hospital.

In 2011 I started breeding again. First I had a go at splashed and tricolor mice, but I quickly switched back to my old favourite- tan mice. In december 2011 I bought a couple of rozette mice, and three rumpwhite mice. Together with my tan line they make up my breeding stock.

The Lines

The tan mice descend from a German and a Belgium line, together with a few additional mice from Dutch lines. At the moment I'm not focussing on a specific color in tan mice, but more the health, size, and tan color in them.

The rozette mice are descendants from a German line. I currently have a chocolate and a beige rozette mouse. I will be focussing on chocolate and black rozettes, possibly in rumpwhite in the future, once the rumpwhite line is stable.

Rumpwhite is an awefully weak marking in mice these days. A lot of rumpwhite litters do not survive, and the ones that do survive are still weak. My rumpwhites come from a Dutch breeder that quit breeding them. I took over 3 females, and will try to increase their health and life expectancy. My first litters have been born by now, and it looks like they are growing up well, but are a bit slim. I am going to try to improve the line after April, with some tan mice.
